my comfort zone

went out with the usuals for a lunch affair to celebrate the longggggggg overdued birthday of liang's and the less overdued birthday in comparison of derek's. decided to have lunch instead of dinner for the convenience of the ns guys and so we gave The Garden Slug at Eunos a little visit (i can't believe i've actually forgotten to take a photo of the sign outside). anyway, i was the one who suggested the place (after various suggestions) and you wouldn't know how nervous i am prior to us reaching the place cos i had no idea how lunch there would turn out.

anyway, whenever i'm out with them, you can bet that i'll always have my camera with me. quoting vannesa's words, "that's like xiuzhen's weapon!" liting claimed i always take unglam shots and then tag them on fb so i guess the photo below calls the start of my unglam attack which liting was trying to avoid but failed. :P

granted, i like to take unglam shots but it's always moments like these that i look out for when pressing the shutter button - smiling and laughing moments.

liang ordered aglio olio. the sight of garlic in the photo really grossed me out. even the word 'grossed' cannot describe my extreme hatred for garlic accurately. i ordered this salmon runny-up dish. started craving for salmon yesterday when i saw the word 'salmon' on the menu.
sad that prissy had to leave earlier. so we took a photo before she left! after all, it's been long since we last saw that girl!
the guys bought derek an adidas shirt and weights to keep him fit in preparation for his term in ns. fabian wanted him to change into his new shirt at the cafe. just look at their sneaky faces. -.-

went to Playnation at Prinsep after lunch as an after-event. i'm glad the idea turned out to be surprisingly well! we split into two side-by-side booths and most of them took their place at the booth on the left playing guitar hero. and they were playing it and singing loudly into the mike as if they were in an enclosed room. -.-
got jiasen to strike a pose with his guitar haha!

the rest of us - me, liang, derek and jian khai mainly, settled into the booth next to theirs and played wii. look at the pretty wii controllers in pink that we were holding!! totally made for girls! ^^
so we played mario kart with the guys and i think liang came in last both rounds? hahaha!

the second game, 'mario brothers' i think, turned out to be really epic. we started off by trying to outdo one another - pushing one another down the platforms, killing one another and stuff when we realised the game is about team play. after which we tried to garner 'teamwork' but created chaos instead. i think we screamed a lot (especially when we kept committing suicides at the falling boulders/ lava/ gears/ stage when getting squashed by the falling boulders and plunging into the hot lava several times) and made the most noise in the whole shop. if the other booth thought they owned their own room, then i think we must have thought we owned the entire place likeaboss. derek kept calling himself the '天才', claiming that we can't do without him in the game. -.- okay fine, he did have some credit in helping to kill the 'bosses'. and liang just kept dying before reading the flags at the goal points. quoting from that girl's blog, " Then again, I'm pretty bad at games, in general. ):"

anyway, i'm go your house play that after my exams yay! :DDD

had a budget dinner at marina square's food court after the game session at Playnation. i never knew there was a food court at that shopping centre!! liang said it's because we always ate expensive stuff whenever we were there.

me wearing fabian's Ray Ban shades which he asked me to help him look after when he went to buy his dinner. i nearly dropped it when he passed it to me and we both stared at each other in shock after i caught it in my hands before it dropped. his precious $300 was very nearly gonecase like that, in my hands.

and to our surprise, we saw fireworks by our window seats midway through dinner! guess there was some ndp rehearsals going on at the floating platform. (:

after the dinner the guys wanted to chitchat over coffee and liang and i stared at each other in bewilderment upon hearing that. how they still had the energy i have no idea.

anyway the coffee talk turned out to be rather amusing because the guys were going on and on about booking NSRCC in conjunction with my birthday celebration (i now know it's really weird hearing people discuss your own birthday in front of you) sometime in august and they were getting all enthusiastic talking about organising Running Man games omg. i'm really not too sure if all those ideas are gonna happen. but we shall wait and see lah huh.
