've been out for the whole day since 7.30am in the morning and i just got home not long ago.

so that's like near 16 hours! wow~

couldn't sleep last night when i went to bed at 12.10am. took me a few tries in changing my sleeping positions before i managed to this morning.

had a funny dream about hello kitty cooking another cartoon character and me wondering how hello kitty was going to eat whatever she was cooking cos she has got no mouth.

and then my eyes flew open.

AH! INTERVIEW!

immediately smsed my cousin, tingting to see if she's awake cos she's supposed to accompany me to SIM. she was.

but still, by the time she reached pasir ris mrt platform it was 8.15am (we were supposed to meet up at around 7.45am. worried that mrt couldn't get me there on time (i was supposed to be there at 9.20am), i decided that we should take a cab. couldn't get mad at her cos she was nice enough to pei me go and i don't want to come across as being irrational just cos of my anxiety.

so we took a cab.

the suay thing was of all days, a minor accident had to happen today at kallang bahru so all the way to kallang there was a really heavy traffic jam. at proby around 8.45am or so we were still stuck at somewhere on the east side.

finally surpassed the accident area and the taxi sped on the highway until i saw to my shock that there was a jam to clementi as well. thankfully it wasn't as bad.

call me blessed or what but i managed to reach the meeting room 2 minutes before the designated time.

the taxi fare amounted to 41 bucks btw. x.x

so anyway, the interview was really not longer than ten minutes. there were 2 interviewers - 1 man (a lecturer) and 1 woman (a senior manager)

basically these were the questions asked,

"why did you choose this course?"

"what do you plan to do in the 2nd year? which DE option are you choosing?"

"do you like math?" (i was kinda taken aback by this one)

"if i give you 5 minutes to prepare now, for a 1 hour assessment test, would you choose a math test or an essay?" (to which i chose an essay and he responded, "ah yes, then option B would be the right choice."

then he went on to the rules that DE students must obey and how DE programme is different from the Bsc programme. it's really more intensive than i thought, DE students have to achieve 90% attendance in a year and you would be kicked out from the programme if you are absent for more than 3 times i think. ohmygosh.

i must have looked very solemn because he asked, "have i put you off the DE programme?" and i laughed and said no.

and he literally said out loud that this interview is just a formality, to ensure that im not some psychopath out to murder students and he concluded that no im not, i look very normal. so he said what they do is they will give the recommendations to the administration office but no worries because when the office shortlisted me for the interview, it means that they are actually willing to offer me a place for the programme already.

so yup that's the end of it.

could finally relaxed. results will be out in 2 to 3 weeks' time.

subsequently went to aunty's house to visit my aunty and uncle plus to see baby jolynn! will post up the photos after ting has uploaded them from her iphone.

left their house at around 4pm and then went to bugis to drink Koi and slack.. shopped at bugis street for a while just to pass time before meeting min.

met min at around 7pm then went to cash studio where we have reserved a karaoke room.

and now im really really tired.

when i was on the bus this morning, i saw someone with a tote bag that says, "a step to the right direction."

is this a sign?

maybe i should just be more practical and accept it?
