a few days ago, i posted up this question as my pm:

which is heavier? a promise or a responsibility?

just posted it up bcos it kinda got me thinking since people always say things like a promise is as precious as a gold and responsibility is a form of burden.

so it just got me wondering if you can weigh them on a scale, which one would be heavier.

and i wasnt expecting it, but many ppl have msn me just to give their opinions on the question which made the whole thing even more interesting. some chose promise, most chose responsibility, and then there were the people who chose to sit on the fence by answering both.

leon cai's answer was the funniest: reponsibility is the derived demand of promise.

hahas. which is pretty true. once u made a promise, it's your reponsibility to keep to your words.

okay, i dont know why im getting so philosophical but yah. the question was just like the chicken and the egg question, which comes first you know?

so which is heavier?

for me, i would prefer not to choose. (:
