here's today's events:


0800h - woke up, feeling groggy.
0815h - washing up, bathing
0845h - preparing to leave
0900h - got in my uncle's car. he's driving me to LAKESIDE MRT STATION (near his working place) so that i dont have to take bus to boon lay mrt station. (liang, there's really such a mrt station, i wasn't lying. go SMRT website and check out the map)


0905h - and my heart started going at 180 bpm. i thot i was going to have a heart attack cos it didnt stop. heard uncle's encouragement and it slowed down to 179 bpm.

0910h - reached lakeside mrt station, took the train. heart's still going at 179 bpm. on the train, decided to listen to jason mraz's im yours (acoustic version. VERY NICE. those who nvr listen before must go listen now!) in an attempt to come myself down. also read cecelia ahern's 'thanks for the memories' (currently at chapter 25. (: also VVV NICE! MUST BUY MUST READ!).
0945h - reached raffles city shopping centre's robinsons' staff entrance. heart slowed down to 160 bpm. (NOTE THAT I WAS 15 MINS EARLIER THAN MEETNG TIME WHICH IS 10AM. GRINS.)


0946h - strolling around outside pathway into the staff entrance.
0947h - decided not to stroll around and start walking in circles. round and round i go around this sony ericsson shop.
0948h - checked the walk. decided to stroll my 4th round. security guard looking at me like im some possible terrorist. JUST KIDDING! decided to walk in at 0950h.
0949h - counting down 60 seconds to 0950h.
0950h - walked right down to the security guard counter to staff entrance. saw the scary security guard uncle at the counter and retreated 3 steps back. saw the intimidating scene of the staff members (in black) reporting for work and then they staring me back giving me the what-the-hell-is-this-girl-doing-here look. RETREATED ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE SONY ERICSSON SHOP.


0953h - starting to wonder if im at the wrong place at the wrong time. bcos i didnt see anyone who looked like me. as in coming down here as a temporary staff for the briefing.
0954h - PANIC! heart started going at 200 bpm.


0955h - FINALLY saw this guy who looked like me. as in coming down here as a temporary staff for the briefing of cos, with his mum and lil sis i think. he began walking in and i followed too and smiled nervously at his looked-quite-friendly mum. then haven reached the scary uncle's counter he suddenly turned back to his mum hesistantly lehh. well, i couldnt possibly do that too so i just asked that scary uncle which way to go (he didnt sound burly like i imagined). and he directed me to the staff canteen. that guy followed me too.


0956h - is this the staff canteen? one woman started staring at me. and the guy.


HE: is this the staff canteen?
ME: dunno lehh. is it?
HE: i dunno. do u see food around?
ME: laughs.
HE: so.. are we going in?
ME: better not. u want go in mehh?
HE: rather not.
SILENCE.
ME: very stupid lehh. stand outside here while the staff walked in walked out.
HE: u want go in?
ME: dont want.


in the end, thankfully there's this lady who brought us into the place (where i was interviewed the other time)


and thankfully, it was that friendly lady who briefed us! (:


and.. i got my name tag! (robinsons, chua xiu zhen, sales associate, it says) GRINS PROUDLY.
and.. i got my punch card!
and.. i got my staff card!

and im glad i've made a new friend alr. at least the possibility of having to eat alone during lunch hour isnt that high anymore. (:

1100h - briefing ended. heart became normal at 72 bpm. (: cant wait fot the training on 11 dec! (:
1105h - baded farewell to my new friend and pending whether to go home or not. decided to go check out centepoint at somerset. better to be familiarised with the area which will be my working place for three weeks.
1110h - boarded train. wondered how the place looked like cos i havent even heard of the place before this before (much less went before!)


1120h - reached the place. STUPIDLY REALISED I'VE ALREADY WENT THERE ONCE BEFORE! during my gor gor's wedding lunch at this teochew restaurant there. started touring the place for possible sell-reasonable-price-de-foods-de-places where i can buy food during lunch (sadly during my lunch or dinner hour, i have to buy my food back to staff canteen to eat). anyway, thankfully, there's TIMES! and that means books! it's one place i can spend more than an hour at (i've spent 2 hours at taka there de kinokuniya before!)! and so if i were to reach my woring place early, i dont have to worry abt walking in circles to pass time before reporting for work. (:


1145h - found these pathetic few places where i can buy food. 7-eleven, breadtalk, bengawan solo, prima deli, mac, long john silver, SUBWAY (:, noodle place restaurant, EAT, starbucks. SIGHS. no food court. ):


1150h - heading back to boon lay. was a bit lost while trying to find the exit to leave the place. found out last train leaves somer set at 1146pm.


1240h - reached boon lay jurong point. ran errands for aunty. bought 2 notebooks (with purpose) myself and chicken wings! (:


0120h - back at aunty's house. (:

0400h - was so tired that i went to take a nap.
0700h - woke up!
TV TV TV..
0800h - a pleasant surprise! my oh-so-lovely-cousin bought me 恶作剧恶吻 disc as advance christmas present! YAY! now i can continue watching le. decided to wait until offer to buy de. (:


anyway, shall go and get my black covered toe shoes and my black pants (no jeans, she said) for my work outfit! cant wait! (: oh. the black polo tees, two, they give me (S size) was a lil loose but i couldnt take XS bcos it was too short to tuck in (yes i have to tuck in, must look professional, she said). the polo tees themselves arent professional-looking but i cant complain i guess.

hahas. but of cos, it's for the working experience as well. but kathy mam will say that's just my 'politically right' answer but i really mean it for it okay?
